First-place Neillsville blasts Columbus Catholic girls basketball

NEILLSVILLE – Neillsville held Marshfield Columbus Catholic to just five made baskets and blew past the Dons 54-11 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division girls basketball game Tuesday at Neillsville High School.

Neillsville jumped on the Dons from the start, rolling out to a 34-5 lead by halftime, and cruised to the win to remain undefeated at 8-0 in the Cloverbelt East and improve to 11-1 overall.

Emma Moseley had 16 points to lead the Warriors.

No Columbus player made more than one basket in the loss. The Dons are now 7-5 overall and 5-3 in the Cloverbelt East.

Both teams will play Cloverbelt East games on Friday. Neillsville hosts Owen-Withee and Columbus Catholic travels to Colby.
