Edgar girls basketball pulls past Spencer in nonconference game

SPENCER – The Edgar girls basketball team posted its fifth-straight win, defeating Spencer 42-32 in a nonconference matchup Tuesday at Spencer High School.

Edgar led 14-7 after a low-scoring first half and were able to hold on from there to improve to 10-4 this season.

Reagan Borchardt had 12 points, Malia Hoesly added 11 and Leah Davis scored 10 for Edgar.

Haveyn Kind had 11 points for Spencer, which falls to 8-6.

Edgar hosts Wausau Newman Catholic on Thursday in Marawood Conference South Division action. Spencer returns to Cloverbelt Conference East Division play Friday at home against Granton.
