Columbus Catholic girls basketball loses at Colby

COLBY – The Colby girls basketball team sent Marshfield Columbus Catholic to its third-straight loss with a 42-27 victory Friday night at Colby High School.

Hayden Willner scored 12 points and Brett Schmitt hit three 3-pointers to finish with 11 points for Colby (4-9, 3-5 Cloverbelt East).

Columbus Catholic was held to only 10 made field goals in the loss as it falls to 7-6 overall and 5-4 in the Cloverbelt East.

Lily Stratman led the Dons with seven points.

Both teams return to action on Monday. Columbus Catholic will play a nonconference game at Eau Claire Regis, while Colby travels to Loyal for a Cloverbelt East contest.
