STRATFORD – The Stratford boys basketball team extended its winning streak to 10 with a 53-39 win over Auburndale on Tuesday night at Stratford High School.
The Tigers led 29-26 at halftime before pulling away in the second half, allowing just 13 Auburndale points over the final 18 minutes.
Stratford is now 15-1 overall and 10-1 in the Marawood South, remaining in a first-place tie with Marathon atop the conference standings. Auburndale drops to 7-8 overall and 5-6 in the Marawood South.
Cam Daul scored 16 points and Devin Ulrich added 14 points for Stratford.
Trayton Weber led Auburndale with 15 points, and Alex Willfahrt had seven points and 10 rebounds in the loss.
Auburndale plays a nonconference game at Pittsville on Friday and will host Wausau Newman Catholic on Feb. 1. Stratford is off until Feb. 1 when it hosts Marathon.
