The WIAA announced Sunday that the Division 2 state semifinal football game between Marshfield and Cedarburg will be played at 4 p.m. Saturday at Appleton North High School.

Marshfield (8-3) defeated Menomonie 21-14 on Saturday in a Level 3 playoff game and advance to the state semifinals for the seventh time in school history and second time in three years. The Tigers have reached the state finals five times, most recently in 2004.

Cedarburg (11-1) has qualified for the playoffs in 14 of the last 15 seasons, but has never reached the state semifinals before this year. The Bulldogs beat Kimberly 31-30 in double overtime on Friday to reach the semifinals.

The WIAA originally announced Saturday night the game would be played at Goerke Field in Stevens Point, but the site was changed on Sunday.
