EDGAR – Edgar made 10 of 17 from the free throw line in the second half to hold on for a 43-33 win over Stratford in a Marawood Conference South Division girls basketball game Tuesday at Edgar High School.
Edgar led 21-19 at halftime and opened up its lead in the second half with a 10-4 free throw advantage.
Tessa Berg was a perfect 6-for-6 from the field and scored 14 points to lead Stratford, which falls to 9-11 overall and 5-8 in the Marawood South.
Makaya Wirkus was 7-for-8 at the free throw line and scored 13 points for Edgar (14-7, 8-6 Marawood South).
Both teams play Marawood Conference crossover games on the road on Thursday. Edgar will be at Chequamegon and Stratford will travel to Rib Lake.
