Stratford girls basketball rolls to win at Rib Lake

RIB LAKE – The Stratford girls basketball team held Rib Lake to eight made baskets and just 12 points in each half on its way to a 44-24 rout in a Marawood Conference crossover game Thursday at Rib Lake High School.

Lauren Kraus scored 15 points, and Kalyn Schueller had seven points and grabbed 17 rebounds in the victory as the Tigers improve to 10-11 overall and 6-8 in the Marawood South.

Lexie Christopherson had three 3-pointers to finish with nine points and Bailey Linzmaier also scored seven points for Stratford.

Danielle Mann had 10 points to lead Rib Lake (5-15, 3-11 Marawood North).

Stratford finishes its season with two road games next week. The Tigers will be at Athens for a Marawood crossover on Tuesday and at Wausau Newman Catholic for its Marawood South finale. WIAA postseason pairings will be released on Sunday, with regional play starting Feb. 22.
