AUBURNDALE – The Auburndale boys basketball team continued its late-season surge with a 52-41 nonconference win over Amherst on Tuesday night at Auburndale High School.
Alex Willfahrt had 13 points, Mason White Eagle added 12, and Terrance Cottrell-Roberson had 10 for Auburndale, which improves to 14-8 as it won for the 13th time in its last 15 games.
Aidan Jastromski scored 11 points to lead Amherst (11-11).
Auburndale will finish its regular-season schedule with Marawood Conference South Division games at Wisconsin Rapids Assumption on Friday and at home against Edgar on Feb. 24. The game against Assumption will be broadcast live at zaleskisports.com.
