MARSHFIELD – Sam Wilczek scored 24 points to help lift the Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys basketball team to a resounding 85-44 win over Greenwood in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division matchup Tuesday at Columbus Catholic High School.
The win allows the Dons to stay within one-half game of conference-leader Neillsville in the Cloverbelt East standings, with a matchup between the two teams at Neillsville set for next Monday, Feb. 21.
Emmitt Konieczny and Blake Jakobi each added 11 points for Columbus Catholic, which is now 18-3 overall and 11-1 in the Cloverbelt East.
Ryver Glenn scored 18 points to lead Greenwood (4-15, 1-11 Cloverbelt East).
Greenwood hosts Owen-Withee and Columbus Catholic travels to Loyal for Cloverbelt East games on Friday. Both games will be broadcast live at zaleskisports.com.
