AUBURNDALE – The Edgar girls basketball team ended the regular season with its fourth-straight win as it completed a season sweep of Auburndale, winning 47-38 in a Marawood Conference South Division game Thursday night at Auburndale High School.
Reagan Borchardt scored 14 points to lead a balanced scoring attack for Edgar, which finishes the regular season 17-7 overall and 10-6 in the Marawood South.
Leah Davis and Makayla Wirkus each added nine points for the Wildcats.
Annamarie Aue led Auburndale with 18 points and Ashlyn Grimm had 12 points in the loss.
The Eagles lost for the third time in their last four games, and finish the regular season with a 17-7 record and an 11-5 mark in the Marawood South.
Edgar hosts Tigerton in a WIAA Division 5 regional quarterfinal on Friday.
Auburndale earned a first-round bye and will be at home for a Division 4 regional semifinal Friday, Feb. 25, against the winner of Tuesday’s game between Nekoosa and Abbotsford.
