MADISON – Three state champions were crowned at the 2022 WIAA State Team Wrestling Tournament at the University of Wisconsin Fieldhouse on Saturday, March 5.
Kaukauna repeated as Division 1 championship with a 35-24 win over Holmen. The state title is Kaukauna’s sixth, all coming since 2014.
Amery also earned a repeat championship, winning the Division 2 title with a 36-30 victory over Luxemburg-Casco. Amery made its first-ever state team appearance last year when it also won the D-2 crown.
Fennimore won the Division 3 title with a 37-23 victory over Coleman. The title is Fennimore’s third as it also won championships in 2016 and 2019.
