COLBY – Spencer was held to three hits and Colby/Abbotsford scored nine times in the second inning to pull past the Rockets for a 16-0 win in the Cloverbelt Conference East Division softball opener for both teams Monday at Colby High School.
Tatum Bargender threw a four-inning complete game, striking out four, to earn the shutout win for Colby/Abbotsford. She also had a single, a double and scored three times.
Alea Graff was 3-for-4 with a home run and five RBI for Colby/Abbotsford.
Colby/Abby hosts Gilman and Spencer will play at Loyal/Greenwood on Tuesday in Cloverbelt East contests.
