Harrington, Whipple, Bruhn run at NCAA D-III cross country regional

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Three former Marshfield High School cross country runners competed at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regionals on Saturday.

Sean Harrington led the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse to a ninth-place team finish, taking 45th in a time of 25:10.

Amanda Whipple of St. Norbert College was 21st in the women’s race, finishing in a time of 22:17. She finished sixth among those not on the top five teams that qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships to qualify as one of 56 individuals nationally.

Wartburg College will host the Division III Championships on Saturday, Nov. 20, at the Max Championship Cross Country Course in Waverly, Iowa

Nikki Bruhn, running for UW-Stevens Point, took 125th in 24:18. The Pointers finished third to qualify as a team.
