Spencer baseball loses to Abbotsford/Colby

SPENCER – Abbotsford/Colby scored in five its six at-bats and went on to defeat Spencer 14-1 in a nonconference baseball game Monday at Spencer High School.

Abbotsford/Colby (9-5) pounded out 18 hits in the victory. Evan Reis went 4-for-4 with four RBI and scored three runs, and also picked up the pitching win with eight strikeouts in four innings.

JV Castillo had three hits and two RBI, and Carlos Lara had three hits and three RBI in the win for the Falcons.

Kaiden Miller had two hits and drove in Spencer’s only run.

Spencer (1-7) plays at Owen-Withee for a Cloverbelt Conference East Division doubleheader on Tuesday at 4 p.m.

Abbotsford/Colby will be at home at Red Arrow Park in Abbotsford against Rib Lake for a Marawood Conference North Division game Tuesday at 4:45 p.m.
