ATHENS – Henry Zaleski tossed a one-hit shutout as the Stratford baseball team blanked Athens 11-0 in a nonconference matchup Monday at Athens High School.
Zaleski struck out five and walked two, allowing just one hit, a single to Cooper Diedrich, to grab the win.
Cam Daul had a single, two doubles and three RBI, and Gavin Kirsch drove in two runs for Stratford, which is now 9-1 after posting its ninth-straight win.
Athens falls to 3-4.
Both teams will hit the road for conference games on Tuesday. Stratford will play a Marawood South game at Auburndale and Athens will be at Phillips for a Marawood North contest.
