Spencer baseball sweeps two at Owen-Withee

OWEN – The Spencer baseball team picked up its first Cloverbelt Conference East Division wins of the season as it swept a doubleheader from Owen-Withee 6-3 and 5-1 on Tuesday at Owen-Withee High School.

Tyler Peterson earned the win in each game for the Rockets (3-7, 2-2 Cloverbelt East), tossing in three innings in each contest.

Caleb Rucker, Kaiden Miller and Peyton Brookhart each had two hits for Spencer in the opening game. Rucker and Cadyn Hardrath both had two RBI.

Madden Prybylski and Reed Knecht both drove in two runs in the second game for the Rockets.

Spencer hosts Greenwood on Thursday at 5 p.m.
