Columbus Catholic baseball bombs Loyal

LOYAL – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic baseball team continued its early-season roll with a 12-1 whitewashing of Loyal in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Tuesday at Loyal High School.

The Dons scored all 12 of their runs in the first three innings to cruise to the win and improve to 7-0 overall and 5-0 in the Cloverbelt East.

Cole Timmler went 4-for-4 with four RBI, and Emmitt Konieczny, Blake Jakobi and Brock Bennington each had two hits in the victory for Columbus Catholic.

Columbus hosts Neillsville on Friday at 5 p.m. at Jack Hackman Field. The game will be broadcast live at zaleskisports.com.
