SPENCER – The Spencer baseball team combined for 31 runs and 28 hits in a doubleheader sweep of Loyal in Cloverbelt Conference East Division action Friday at Spencer High School.
The Rockets won 15-5 and 16-14 to improve to 5-8 overall and 4-3 in the Cloverbelt East. Loyal drops to 2-8 and 2-5 in the conference.
Spencer scored multiple runs in eight different innings in the twinbill.
Reed Knecht had three hits and six RBI, and Madden Prybylski, Luke Roehrborn, Connor Bacon and Andrew Sieracki each had two RBI in the Game 1 win for the Rockets.
Kaiden Miller had three hits and three RBI, and Prybylski, Knecht and Roehrborn continued their hot hitting with two hits apiece in the nightcap for Spencer.
Spencer plays a nonconference game at Cadott on Monday. Loyal returns to action Tuesday at home against Greenwood.
