STRATFORD – The Stratford softball team used an eight-run third inning to open up a big lead and went on to defeat Chequamegon 11-1 in a nonconference game Friday at Hilgemann Field.
Laney Pankratz allowed just one run and three hits in five innings to earn the win for Stratford, which evens its record at 6-6.
Ally Zuleger had two hits and three RBI, and Delaney Dennee and Kylee Manecke also had two hits each for the Tigers.
Stratford will compete at the Gilman/Thorp Slamfest on Saturday.
