Rib Lake slams Spencer baseball in regular-season finale

SPENCER – Rib Lake scored four runs in three separate innings and went on to defeat Spencer 12-1 in a nonconference baseball game Monday at Spencer High School.

Rib Lake (9-7) had 14 hits, including three each from Logan Blomberg, Jacob Matyka and Jordan Yanko. Yanko drove in four runs, and Blomberg and Matyka had three RBI each in the win.

Madden Prybylski, Caleb Rucker and Reed Knecht all had two hits for Spencer, which finishes the regular season with a 6-14 record.

Spencer will host Northland Lutheran/Wisconsin Valley Lutheran in a WIAA Division 4 regional quarterfinal Thursday at 5 p.m.

Rib Lake will be at home for a regional quarterfinal against Prentice on Thursday starting at 4:45 p.m.
