Spencer baseball rips Northland Lutheran/Wisconsin Valley Lutheran in Division 3 baseball regional quarterfinal

KRONENWETTER – Spencer scored 12 runs in the final three innings to break open a tight game and roll to a 13-1 win over Northland Lutheran/Wisconsin Valley Lutheran in a WIAA Division 3 baseball regional quarterfinal Thursday at Northland Lutheran High School.

The game was tied 1-1 after four innings before the Rockets’ offense exploded.

Andrew Sieracki, Luke Roehrborn and Caleb Rucker had consecutive RBI singles, and Roehrborn later scored to cap Spencer’s four-run fifth inning to give the Rockets a 5-1 lead.

Kaiden Miller had a two-run double in the sixth inning and Spencer finished off the victory with a six-run seventh.

Rucker finished 3-for-4, Roehrborn and Sieracki each had two hits and three RBI, and Miller and Madden Prybylski also both added two hits in the barrage for Spencer (7-14).

Prybylski struck out seven in six innings to earn the win, and Sieracki finished off the win with a scoreless seventh for Spencer.

Spencer will travel to No. 1 seed Marshfield Columbus Catholic (16-3) for a regional semifinal at Jack Hackman Field in Marshfield on Tuesday at 5 p.m. The game will be broadcast live at zaleskisports.com.
