Marshfield Junior Legion baseball falls to Wausau

WAUSAU – Wausau scored four times in the bottom of the sixth inning to break open a tie game and defeat Marshfield 5-1 in a Junior Legion baseball game Thursday at Athletic Park.

Marshfield tied the game at 1-1 on an RBI single by Chase Robinson in the top of the fifth.

Wausau responded with four runs in the sixth and sent Marshfield down in order in the seventh to clinch the victory.

Ian Brown suffered the loss for Marshfield, giving up four runs, seven hits and six walks in 5 2/3 innings. He finished with five strikeouts.

Robinson had two of Marshfield’s four hits.

Marshfield (2-4) will play at the Stevens Point Sixers Tournament this weekend at Bukolt Park.
