MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Senior Legion baseball team swept a non-league doubleheader over De Pere, winning 10-6 and 14-4 on Saturday afternoon at Jack Hackman Field.
Marshfield used a six-run third inning to pll ahead for good in the opening game.
Cody Donahue went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI, and Riley Bauman, Nick Urban, Ben Dietsche, Jackson Ormond and Bennett Lang all had two hits, with Lang driving in a pair of runs, for the Blue Devils.
It was a big inning again in Game 2 that propelled Marshfield to the sweep as the Devils scored eight times in the fifth inning to break open a 4-4 tie.
Colton Schillinger had four hits, including a double and a triple, and drove in four to pace the Marshfield offense.
Urban had three hits and two RBI, and Logan Homolka and Braeden Schueller each chipped in two hits in the win as Marshfield finished both games with 14 hits.
Marshfield (13-8) hosts Appleton Post 38 for a doubleheader on Sunday at Hackman Field starting at 11 a.m.
