Marshfield Junior Legion splits two at Chippewa Falls

CHIPPEWA FALLS – The Marshfield Junior Legion baseball split a doubleheader at Chippewa Falls on Saturday, losing the first game 8-5 before coming back to post a 4-3 win.

Ian Brown had three hits, including two doubles, and drove in a run, and Sloan Welch and Jack Tubbs each had two hits in the opener for Marshfield (9-12).

Marshfield pulled ahead in Game 2 with single runs in the sixth and seventh innings, with Brown earning the win, allowing just one run in four innings of relief.

Owen Griesbach and Aden Cherney each had two hits for the Junior Devils.

Marshfield hosts Plover for a doubleheader on Tuesday starting at 5:30 p.m.
