WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Marshfield Post 54 Senior Legion baseball team extended its winning streak to three games with a 3-2 win over Wisconsin Rapids on Tuesday night at Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln High School.

The game was scoreless until Wisconsin Rapids scratched out a run on a two-out RBI single by Caden Sengbusch.

Marshfield struck back to tie the game in the sixth as Brock Bennington was hit by a pitch, Logan Homolka doubled, and Riley Bauman knocked in Bennington with a sacrifice fly.

The game stayed tied into the eighth when Marshfield scored twice on an RBI single by Bauman and a sac fly from Colton Schillinger.

Wisconsin Rapids tried to come back in the bottom of the inning as Ryan Sering singled to score Marcos Simonsen, but Canon Plawman was thrown out attempting to go from first to third to end the threat and close out the win for the Blue Devils.
