Marshfield boys hockey suffers loss at Tomah Tournament

TOMAH – Tomah scored twice in the first period and held on to a 2-1 win over the Marshfield boys hockey team in the first game of the Tomah Tournament on Friday.

Alex Egstad and Brett Sweeney scored in the first period to give the Timberwolves a 2-0 lead.

Marshfield finally got on the board in third period when Travis Kersten scored with 13:23 to go.

The Tigers couldn’t managed to get another past Tomah goalie Derek Moser, who had 20 saves.

Marshfield falls to 0-2 on the season and will play against Saturday at Tomah.
