MERRILL – Marshfield picked up a pair of victories and finished fourth in the team standings at the Merrill Fun in the Sun Relays, an outdoor meet held at the Merrill Area Recreation Center on Thursday.
Stevens Point won the team title with 222 points and four event victories, with Rhinelander second with 198 and D.C. Everest third with 178. Marshfield, competing in its first meet of the season, finished with 146 points.
Marshfield’s 200-yard freestyle relay team of Terra Risa, Lauren Olszewski, Ireland Moran and Skyler Onsager won in 1:46.04, and the 400 medley relay team of Terra Risa, Faith Risa, Moran and Olszewski were victorious in 4:24.63.
Marshfield also had third-place finishes from the 400 medley relay team of Keira Raab, Brooke Begotka, Moran and Faith Risa (4:38.92), the 200 backstroke relay team of Moran, Olszewski, Raab and Terra Risa (2:04.33), and the 400 freestyle relay team of Onsager, Begotka, Terra Risa and Faith Risa (4:00.70).
Marshfield will compete at the Menomonie Invitational on Saturday before hosting its annual invite on Tuesday.
