Marshfield girls tennis dominates D.C. Everest to pick up first WVC win

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield girls tennis team evened its Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet record at 1-1 with a 6-1 victory over D.C. Everest on Tuesday at the Boson Tennis Complex.

Isabel Krueger (No. 1), Sonia Dissanayaka (No. 3) and Payton Koran (No. 4) won their singles matches in straight sets for Marshfield, which also swept all three doubles matches.

The No. 1 team of Danielle Minsaas and Sam Ridgway, the No. 2 team of Sophia Morrell and Ava Paape, and the No. 3 team of Ruhi Shah and Ashley Grancorvitz lost just a combined 12 games in their three wins for the Tigers.

Marshfield hosts Wausau East on Thursday at 4 p.m.
