STEVENS POINT – The Marshfield volleyball team swept a pair of matches at the first Wisconsin Valley Conference Meet of the season, improving to 5-0 in the conference this season.
The Tigers defeated Wausau East 25-19, 25-16, 25-19, and Wisconsin Rapids 25-10, 25-9, 25-10.
Abby Ongna had 22 kills, Reinya Balderson had 49 assists and 18 digs, and Elise Uphoff had 34 digs and five service aces for Marshfield.
Grace Taylor added five aces, Caitlyn Pernsteiner had 12 kills, Lauren Homolka chipped in eight kills, and Ongna finished with 15 digs for the Tigers.
Marshfield (19-2 overall) will be back in action Thursday at Wausau West.
