MARSHFIELD – Chippewa Falls McDonell earned a 3-0 sweep over Marshfield Columbus Catholic in the first-place match of the Cloverbelt Conference Volleyball Crossovers on Thursday night at Columbus Catholic High School.
McDonell won 25-11, 25-17, 25-18.
Aaliyah Krenn had 10 kills, Lily Stratman had 12 assists and Izzy Hoglund had nine digs for the Dons, who finish up the regular season with the loss.
Courtney Sommer added six kills, eight digs and 11 assists for Columbus Catholic.
Columbus hosts a WIAA Division 4 regional semifinal next Thursday, Oct. 20, against the winner of Tuesday’s match between Almond-Bancroft and Pittsville.
