STRATFORD – The Stratford volleyball team overcame a two-set deficit, storming back to defeat Neillsville 3-2 in a WIAA Division 3 regional quarterfinal Tuesday night at Stratford High School.
The No. 9 seed Neillsville came out hot, winning the first two sets 25-14, 25-20, before eight-seed Stratford rallied to win the next three 25-19, 25-21, 15-6, to move on to a D-3 regional semifinal at No. 1 seed Edgar on Thursday.
Kalyn Schueller had 22 kills and 12 digs, Tessa Berg added seven kills and 12 digs, Ava Weix had a team-best 18 digs, and setters Emerson Roy and Sonia Peterson had 23 and 16 assists, respectively, for Stratford.
Allison Lindner added five service aces and 10 digs as well for the Tigers.
