MILWAUKEE – The 41st annual WIAA State Boys Soccer Tournament concluded Saturday, Nov. 5, with four divisional state champions crowned at Uihlein Soccer Park.
Verona won its second Division 1 state title in program history with a 2-1 victory over two-time defending champion Milwaukee Marquette.
Oregon repeated as the Division 2 champion with a shootout victory over Whitefish Bay. After the teams played to a 1-1 tie, Oregon won a shootout 8-7. The title is Oregon’s fifth in program history to go along with others in 1998, 2013, 2018 and 2021.
New Berlin Eisenhower earned its first-ever state title in the Division 3 championship match with a 1-0 win over Green Bay Notre Dame, which finished as the runner-up for the third year in a row.
In Division 4, Milwaukee Cristo Rey, playing in its first-ever state tournament, defeated defending champion Sheboygan Christian/Sheboygan Lutheran 2-0 in the championship match.
