HUDSON – Marshfield senior Faith Risa qualified for the state meet in two individual events and was part of a relay team to also earn a berth after competition at the WIAA Division 1 girls swimming sectional Saturday at Hudson Middle School.
Faith Risa finished second in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:15.44 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:07.07, and teamed with her sister Terra Risa, Brooke Begotka and Sklyar Onsager to take second in the 200 medley relay in 1:51.44 to earn spots at the state meet, which will be held at Waukesha South High School on Saturday, Nov. 12.
Marshfield’s 200 freestyle team of Terra and Faith Risa, Ireland Moran and Onsager missed out on a state berth by just 3/10th of a second as it finished third in 1:42.48.
Onsager finished fifth in 50 freestyle in 25.07 seconds and seventh in the 100 freestyle in 55.01 seconds, and Moran was eighth in the 100 backstroke in 1:03.64 as well for the Tigers.
