RHINELANDER – The Marshfield boys basketball opened its 2022-23 season with a dominating road victory, pummeling Rhinelander 69-38 in a nonconference game Tuesday night at Rhinelander High School.
The Tigers raced out to a 40-22 lead by halftime and cruised to the win.
Marshfield held Rhinelander to just 26 percent shooting as the Hodags were solid from 3-point range, making 9 of 25, but were just 4-for-24 from 2-point range.
Ten of the 11 Tigers that played scored in the game, with Luke LeMoine leading the way with 16 points. Owen Hanson added 10 points and six rebounds, and Brooks Hinson also scored 10 for Marshfield.
Marshfield will play its home opener Tuesday, Nov. 29, against Appleton East at 7:15 p.m.
