AUBURNDALE – Auburndale had seven top-three finishes to ended up second in the team standings at its home Auburndale Wrestling Invitational on Saturday at Auburndale High School.
Marathon won the team title with 518 points, with Auburndale second with 423.5. Crandon was third with 394.
Colton Weiler won the individual title at 132 pounds and Sloan Welch took first place at 220 pounds to lead the way for the Eagles. Welch is now 15-1 and Weiler 13-1 this season.
Derek Godard was second at 106 and Adam Dorshorst finished second at 195, with Dawson Raab (113), Zade Grassel (120) and Wyatt Malsin (145) each finishing third for Auburndale.
Auburndale is off until it competes at the Bi-State Classic in La Crosse on Dec. 29-30.
