EDGAR – Braeden Schueller had a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds as the Stratford boys basketball team eked out a 45-44 win over Edgar in a Marawood Conference South Division matchup Tuesday night at Edgar High School.
Stratford led 31-21 at halftime before Edgar tightened it up in the second half, holding the Tigers to just 14 points.
Stratford shot just 14 of 35 from the field and 9 of 20 at the free throw line, but made eight 3-pointers and were able to hold on.
The Tigers are now 4-3 overall and 2-3 in the Marawood South, while Edgar drops to 3-4 and 3-3 in the conference.
Stratford plays a nonconference game at Mosinee on Thursday.
