Marshfield girls basketball blasts Wausau East for ninth-straight win

MARSHFIELD – Nine different Marshfield players scored as the Tigers remained undefeated with a dominating 82-32 win over Wausau East in a Wisconsin Valley Conference girls basketball matchup Tuesday night at Marshfield High School.

Dani Minsaas scored 22 points to lead four Tigers in double figures as the team improves to 9-0 overall and 4-0 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference. East is now 2-8 and 0-4 in the conference.

Marshfield cruised out to a 46-10 lead by halftime and rolled to the home win.

Ayana Bousum added 16 points, Ashley Grancorvitz scored 14, and sophomore Alyssa Foemmel had a career-high 13 points for the Tigers. Zaida Kolbeck added eight steals in the victory.

Marshfield will host Hudson on Dec. 28 and Superior on Dec. 29 as part of its annual holiday tournament.
