AUBURNDALE – The Auburndale boys basketball team raced out to a double-digit lead by halftime and rolled past Augusta 63-23 in its opening game of the Auburndale Holiday Tournament on Wednesday night.
The Eagles led 32-15 at halftime and held Augusta to just eight points in the second half to finish off their seventh-straight win.
Alex Willfahrt had 16 points and nine rebounds to pace Auburndale, which had eight different players score in the victory.
Auburndale (8-1) will play in the tournament championship game at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
