STEVENS POINT – Marshfield earned two victories as it dropped a 99-71 decision to Stevens Point in a Wisconsin Valley Conference boys swimming dual meet Thursday at Stevens Point Area Senior High.
Stevens Point maintains its lead in the WVC standings at 5-1, while Marshfield drops to 4-3.
Kyle Berres won the 50-yard freestyle in 23.13 seconds and teamed with Simon Dagit, Carson Klumb and Henry Hilbelink to take first in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:36.55 for the Tigers’ two event wins.
Konnor Pilger won a pair of events for Stevens Point, taking first in the 200 freestyle in 1:51.72 and the 100 freestyle in 49.55.
Marshfield will compete at the Sheboygan South Invitational on Saturday.
