Stratford boys basketball tops Assumption

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Stratford made all 17 of its free throw attempts and pulled past Wisconsin Rapids Assumption 57-43 in a Marawood Conference South Division boys basketball game Friday night at Assumption High School.

Ashton Wrensch scored 16 points, Drew Bruesewitz added 14, and John Seitz and Braeden Schueller each scored 11 for the Tigers, who are now 7-6 overall and 5-4 in the Marawood South.

Assumption drops to 4-9 and 3-6 in the conference.

Stratford plays a nonconference game at Medford on Monday.
