MILWAUKEE – Danielle Carlson, a 2009 Marshfield High School graduate, is a sophomore on the Marquette University volleyball team.
Carlson and Marquette ended its season with a 3-1 win over Northern Illinois on Nov. 27. The win gave the Golden Eagles their school-record 23rd victory of the season and they finish the year 23-9.
Marquette reached the semifinals of the Big East Tournament, before losing 3-1 to Louisville.
Carlson finished fourth on the team in kills per set (2.25) and blocks (54), and third in kill percentage (31.5), playing in 112 of the team’s 115 sets this season.
Carlson, a four-year letterwinner and two-time Wisconsin Valley Conference first-team selection at Marshfield, had a career-high 15 kills in a win over Louisville on Nov. 12.
