EAGLE RIVER – The Stratford girls basketball team rolled out to a big first-half lead and cruised to a 52-23 win over Northland Pines in a nonconference matchup Thursday at Northland Pines High School.
Stratford led 25-12 by halftime and rolled to the road win, holding the home Eagles to just seven made field goals in the game.
Lauren Kraus had 13 points and 12 rebounds, and Bailey Linzmaier added 12 points as she made 6 of 6 free throws for the Tigers (9-10).
Stratford returns to action Tuesday with a home Marawood Conference South Division game against Edgar.
