STRATFORD – The Stratford girls basketball team doubled up Rib Lake in the first half, then held them to just one made basket in the second as it rolled to a 55-20 win in a Marawood Conference crossover game Thursday at Stratford High School.
The Tigers raced out to a 26-13 lead to take control from the start and finished off the win by holding Rib Lake to only one basket and five free throws in the second half to win by 35.
Lauren Kraus had yet another double-double for the Tigers, scoring 16 points and grabbing 13 rebounds in the victory. Lexie Christopherson made four 3-pointers and added 12 for Stratford (10-11, 4-9 Marawood South).
Stratford plays at Wisconsin Rapids Assumption on Monday before finishing its regular-season schedule next Thursday, Feb. 16, at home against Wausau Newman Catholic.
