AUBURNDALE – Four Auburndale players scored in double figures as the Eagles rolled past Wisconsin Rapids Assumption 81-53 in a Marawood Conference South Division boys basketball game Friday night at Auburndale High School.
Auburndale led 33-25 at halftime before pouring on 48 points in the second half to pull away.
Lucas Yeske had 16 points, Evan Scholl and Alex Willfahrt each had 14, and Caden Weinfurter scored 13 for the Eagles, who are now 18-3 overall and 12-3 in the Marawood South.
Auburndale was 9-for-18 from 3-point range in the win, which included four makes from Scholl and three from Weinfurter.
Ryan Shaw had 18 points and Frank Matott added 13 for Assumption (10-13, 6-9 Marawood South).
Auburndale will wrap up its regular season next week hosting Amherst for a nonconference game Monday and traveling to Edgar on Thursday for its Marawood South finale.
The 2023 WIAA playoff brackets will be announced Sunday at 3 p.m.
