Columbus Catholic girls basketball drops second-place game of Cloverbelt crossovers to Cadott

NEILLSVILLE – The Columbus Catholic girls basketball team fell behind by double digits in the first half and could not recover, dropping the second-place game of the Cloverbelt Conference crossovers on Saturday at Neillsville High School.

Cadott led 31-18 at halftime and were able to hold on the rest of the way, finishing the regular season with a 19-5 record.

Jenna Kibbel had 10 points and Maggie Callaghan added eight points for Columbus Catholic (14-10).

Columbus Catholic hosts Northland Lutheran for a WIAA Division 5 regional quarterfinal on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
