AUBURNDALE – Eleven different players found the scoring column as Auburndale used a balanced attack to rout Princeton/Green Lake 74-23 in a WIAA Division 4 boys basketball regional semifinal Friday night at Auburndale High School.
The No. 2 seed Auburndale (22-3) moves on to regional final against No. 3 Weyauwega-Fremont (16-9) at 7 p.m. Saturday at Auburndale High School. The game is a rematch of the championship game of the Auburndale Holiday Tournament, won by the Eagles 46-42 on Dec. 29.
Auburndale held Princeton/Green Lake to just two made baskets in the first half, both 3-pointers by Ryan Pavelec, and rolled out to a 52-11 lead by the break. Check out the statewide WIAA regional scoreboard here
All 13 Auburndale players saw action in the win, with Alex Willfahrt leading the way with 12 points. Evan School and Lucas Yeske each made three 3-pointers and scored 11 points each for the Eagles.
Pavelec finished with 10 for Princeton/Green Lake (11-14).
