MARSHFIELD – Marshfield won three events and had three runner-up finishes to win its home Marshfield Tigers Indoor Track Invitational on Tuesday night at the Chips Hamburgers Fieldhouse at Marshfield High School.
Marshfield racked up 126 points, with Abbotsford second with 70. Stratford was ninth with 20 points and Marshfield Columbus Catholic 10th with 13 points among the 13 teams at the meet.
Trevor Foemmel won the 60-yard hurdles in 8.30 seconds and was part of the winning 4×160 relay team, along with Luke LeMoine, Vaughn Kolbeck and Trey Parr, that won in 1:14.93. Marshfield’s other victory came from Thomas Cashmer, who was first it the 880-yard run in 2:15.95.
Noah Peterson was second in the shot put (43 feet, 3 inches), Kolbeck took second in the pole vault (11-0), and the 2-mile relay team of Cashmer, Lincoln Berger, Dustin Holland and Michael Dick finished second in 10:08.91 as well for Marshfield.
Brandon Knetter took second in the triple jump with a leap of 36-10 and Zander Curtice was third in the high jump (5-7) for Stratford’s top finishes.
Seth Roewe had Columbus Catholic’s top finish, taking sixth in the pole vault (7-0).
Colby’s Caden Healy was a three-time champion as he won the shot put (44-2), high jump (5-8) and 60-yard dash (6.52 seconds).
The Marshfield girls indoor invite will be held Thursday at Marshfield High School.
