Bremer and Gabby Niehaus split time in goal, each recording two saves.
In the win over St. Thomas More, Avery Weister had a hat trick with three goals and Taylor added the other for the Tigers. Taylor also had two assists and Lauryn Katzenberger also had an assist in the win. Marshfield outshot St. Thomas More 20-2.
“Getting three games to start the season was key before we start Wisconsin Valley Conference action as we are still sorting things out,” Marshfield coach Steve Lindner said. “Players need to understand some new roles, and playing with new teammates. It was a great tourney for us and all our players got some varsity action.
“The depth of this year’s team will be our strength as we have 17 returning letterwinners back. There are some newcomers to varsity that will also contribute this year and we are excited to get the season underway. Getting contributions from 7 different players will be how we will have success this year as there are many players we feel should and will contribute to the scoring.”
Hayden Berger was selected to the All-Tournament Team for Marshfield.
Marshfield hosts New Richmond at 5 p.m. Friday at Heiting Community Stadium for a nonconference matchup.
