APPLETON – Tessah Lang, a junior at Marshfield High School who competes for the Russell Gymnastics Club in Stevens Point, earned three medals at the USAG Wisconsin State Optionals competition on March 25.
Lang will now move on to the USAG Women’s Level 9 Region 4 Gymnastics Championships, which will be held April 15 in Milwaukee. Gymnasts from Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska and Missouri will compete at the meet for a chance to qualify for the Westerns National Meet in Boise, Idaho, in May.
Lang earned medals on the balance beam, uneven bars and floor exercise, which placed her fifth in all-around competition.
The Russell Gymnastics Level 9 team placed third.
