PITTSVILLE – Pittsville scored nine times in the bottom of the first inning and cruised to an 18-3 win over Spencer in a nonconference softball game Tuesday.
Spencer was held to four hits, two by Kaelyn Schreiner. Ema Schultz and Keely Schuh each drove in a run for the Rockets, who fall to 0-6.
Lana Vollert had four RBI, and Haylee Zawislan drove in three on a pair of hits and scored four times for Pittsville (3-0).
Spencer returns to action Friday at home against Cadott.
